About Layr for Mac
Layr for Mac is a window layout manager for macOS. It saves where your app windows go, on every display, and puts them back in one click.
What it is
Layr for Mac lives in your menu bar. You arrange your windows once, save them as a named layout such as “Coding” or “Research”, and restore that layout with a click. It can also place an app's window in its spot when the app opens. See everything it does today, or read the overview.
It works on macOS 12 Monterey or later, on Apple silicon and Intel. There is a 24-hour free trial with no account, then a one-time $9.99 USD licence with no subscription. Your layouts stay on your Mac.
Who makes it
Layr for Mac is made by Bigyat Thapa, an independent developer in Nepal. You can find the maker on LinkedIn, X and Threads, and there is a short demo video on YouTube. The launch discussion is on the MacRumors forums.

Not the other Layr
“Layr” is a common name. This site, layrformac.com, is about Layr for Mac, the window layout manager. It is not related to other apps, websites or companies that share the name, including other Mac utilities called Layr.
If you were looking for a window manager that saves layouts, restores windows after sleep or docking, or arranges windows across several displays, you are in the right place.
